Altima/Maxima wheels?

Has anyone tried Altima or Maxima wheels on a Quest? Can the tire pressure sensors be switched to new wheels?

I have some 04 Maxima 17x7
I have some 04 Maxima 17x7 35mm offset. I can post an image if it's allowed, don't see the tag.

Anyone know the bolt pattern
Anyone know the bolt pattern and offset?
Is the Quest the 114.3mm (4.5") bolt circle and 45mm offset?
02 16" Maxima Wheels on 98 Quest
I picked up some 5-spoke 16" OE wheels from a local wrecking yard (whole set with decent tires for ~$400). They bolted right on my Quest. The really sported up the look from the stock wheels.
I can't comment on the tire pressure sensor issue - sorry.

Most tire pressure
Most tire pressure monitoring systems actually use the ABS sensors to estimate the tire pressure based on how fast the tire is spinning. I assume that is how the Quest system works because you don't get a reading until you have driven for a while but I could be wrong.
OLDER SENSORS!

I have an 2006 Quest and the sensors are not of that type, that was mostly seen in eariler systems, the systems now use radio waves and a pressure sensor to transmit tire pressures.
re: Most tire pressure
The owner's manual says:
Do not inject any tire liquid or aerosol
tire sealant into the tires, as this may
cause a malfunction of the tire pressure
sensors.
CAUTION
Do not place metalized film or any metal
parts (antenna, etc.) on the windows. This
may cause poor reception of the signals
from the tire pressure sensors, and the
low tire pressure warning system will not
function properly.
I believe the ABS sensor type tire pressure systems can't report the actual tire pressures, only when one is significantly lower than the others.
I don't know why it takes a little bit of driving to get readings from the sensors. Perhaps they are energized by the rotation of the wheel?

My two theories on the
My two theories on the little bit of driving thing:
1) Either they are inductive-type sensors, which would use known engine rpm:speed values compared to each rim's RPM to calculate each wheel's diameter, and thus the estimated PSI, and it just forces the system to wait for a certain number of tire Revolutions for more statistical data before displaying to the user.
or
2) They are independent true pressure monitors, but the system waits a specific distance/time before the driver is shown data so the tires can come up to temperature.
Just guesses, could be way off.
That explains why they're so
That explains why they're so accurate.
Pressure
Yeah. I like having that information readily available. Much easier to take a quick look at the display before driving very far than to remember to check the pressures "cold" in the morning before I go anywhere.

Dirty Fingers
I just like the fact that I can check the pressure without getting black filth on my hands. :-)
