Power converter for towing?

Last year I had a shop install a hitch, brake controller and wiring on my 2006 Quest to pull my pop-up. Recently I'm having issues with my brake lights and turn signals on the camper. I read somewhere that Nissan suggests installing a powered tail light converter. Anybody had any experience with this? If so, any recommendations, instructions, etc... Thanks!
