Wireless Headsets play nothing but static
My 2004 Quest with mid row DVD player worked great with the wireless headsets until a couple of weeks ago. I replaced batteries in both sets and still nothing but static. I monkeyed with all the buttons, read the manual, and cleaned the IR sensor on the DVD screen. Still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried to...
clean the sensors on the rear switches? I believe that the headphones are picking up their audio signals from the rear switch. I think the switches are located on headliner just behind the head of the driver... it should have the volume controls, and AM/FM, etc switches on it...
try to clean that lens, and make sure that the volume is way up, too. Just FYI, I think the IR lens on the display is for the remote control :-)

I had monkeyed with those switches and the volumes but did not even recognize the sensor. I wiped it with a dry cloth and viola, it worked. THANKS!
PS. The remote works extra good now! ;-)
