Blower Fan

Had same issue on Nissan quest late '99 GXE - Replaced Blower resistor with Standard brand model RU327 (flat type ordered by selecting 2000 year fm Rockauto) this week. Was not a perfect slide-in fit with wire port but managed. Fan started working in 1,2,3,4 but went off in 3 next morning after burn smell in cabin. Now, fan is back to working only in 4 now. Did I do something wrong here? Please suggest possible reason & solution - Thx.

Had the same issue. Replaced

Had the same issue.

Replaced the blower resistor three times--each time quicker than the time before. I finally had to replace the motor itself. That was about a year ago and the problem hasn't returned. (Note--if you go to a dealer--tell them you will install the resistor yourself. They soaked me $48 to turn those two screws!!!)
