I keep hearing if you have a 04 Nissan Quest with vin number after 48000 it passed the “bad batch”. How do you read the vin numbers to see if the vehicle has been built after the 48000, my vehicle’s vin number begins with 5 then a mixture of letters and numbers finally 6 numbers beginning with 3...any body please???

Just look at the 'other end' of the VIN number and work your way backwards.
5x1xx28x54x348345
For instance, this number says this van was number 48,345 off the assembly line.
