2006 Air Conditioner Problem

Has anybody seen or heard of issues relating to the air conditioner having intermittent loss of cooling or airflow during extended highway driving.
After about 3-4 hours of driving on highway the a/c will start blowing out warm air; then air will gradually stop moving through the dash vents. Even though the dial is set on AC MAX and recircling air is on. Then if we stop for about 20- 30 minutes and get back in the van everything is good for the rest of the trip.

I found a couple of references to TSB's for the ford explorer but nothing for nissan.

Make sure it's not blocked

My wife and I experienced a similar occurance once during a vacation trip. The rear air intake, located on the passenger side behind the third row was blocked by suitcases. After we moved the obstruction, it blew cold immediately. I thought it was strange because it affected the front air output as well. I hope this helps.

This could be as it was

This could be as it was packed with our stuff for the trip. We are getting ready for another 10 hour road trip, Nissan replaced the computer that operates the A/C, if it happens again I will check out the rear air and see if that does it.

Thanks

hi... did this solve your problem? there are some of us that seem to be having similar issues with the 2007 model. I'm also going to have to check on the location of the rear intake to see if that may be part of my problem.
thanks
