replacing vhs with a dvd

usaconsultant's picture

I have a 2002 quest with a VHS player. Vhs is located on the floor between the front seats. The screen is factory installed above head. Is it possible to replace the VHS with a DVD player, if so, then how? and what kind of DVD player do I need? Is it already wired for DIY?

Thanks,

pix?

If I were a betting man, I'd guess that you have a simple RCA connection behind your VHS player somwhere (triple connector, video, left & right). You can get pretty small dvd players these days, the trick will be finding one the right size with a DC power source.

If you can provide pix I'm sure more of us can chime in with wild guesses :-)

I have a 2002 Quest too. I

I have a 2002 Quest too. I bought a cheap portable player and instead of plugging it into the slots where the VCR player rests between the 2 front seats I ran RCA jacks from the DVD player to the slots on the back of the control counsel which faces the middle row of seats. Worked perfect.
