VERY Loud Front Tires

Our front tires are extremely loud. I am assuming it is the tires. We have them rotated and balanced routinely (and just had it done yesterday!) and it doesn't help. Any other suggestions? We are about to take a 2,000 mile trip and that "wooo wooo wooo" gets very old.....and I want to make sure it's nothing else possibly causing it!
I have read that the Goodyear tires aren't the best for our 2004 Quest. We have 48,000 miles on it, and the tires weren't this loud when we bought it a year ago. The tires are still in good shape, so we will stick with them if we have to. I believe they may have been new when we bought the van.

tire noise ,to car wont move

My 06 just started this woow
My 06 just started this woow woow woow wowo sound, most noticeable at 35-40MPH it's freaking annoying. I was leaning towards the front tires being the problem but now that I see this thread maybe it is the front bearing(s) assembly or is it? anybody else is having this isuue and if left unattended what could happen?
Well I took it in for
Well I took it in for diagnose; they replaced the right front wheel bearing hub assembly and no more wowowowowow... it is perfect and quiet now!!! best of all the dealer said it was covered under warranty.
alignment
We had the same weird noise. We had a 4 wheel alignment and the noise went away.
Probably a wheel bearing...
We had a similar problem with our 2004. Wooo wooo wooo is a perfect way to describe it. Lasted months until I finally took it in. It was a wheel bearing. I think it cost between $300 and $325 to fix (not at the dealer), but what a difference!
It was the Wheel Bearing
Took your suggestion and it was the wheel bearing. Driver's side. I only cost me $150 deductible since it was under our one year warranty. But, looking at my receipt I see that it would have cost over $400 without it. This was also at a Volvo dealership, so the cost was probably a little higher there. That's where we had the warranty, so had to take it back there.
After fixed, it's a huge difference. I had forgotten how quiet my van could be!
Glad to hear you got it
Glad to hear you got it fixed--it's a very annoying sound!
Does the "woo" sounds get low
Does the "woo" sounds get low at speed or what?

If I remember correctly mine
If I remember correctly mine was overcome by wind/road noise above about 30-35 mph. But at lower speeds it sounds like a pulsating woo woo woo sound regardless of which way you turn. Ours was like that for months before I had it repaired. Took it to a shop because we were about to go out of town. If the other side goes I may try to fix it myself.
Does anyone have info on
Does anyone have info on replacing the bearing for the DIYer?? I'm not seeing anything in the service manuals..
Thanks
