2006 se oil filter

I saw a post somewhere that there is a larger filter that fits the threads of the quest. The oem filter is to dang small

2004+ oil filters

The filter that fits the 4L ( VQ40DE ) engine will fit the quest. It is a longer filter with more capacity.

Does its seal create same oil

I can't tell you that. Maybe someone else can answer that one.
I used that filter on my 2004 quest for 138k miles no problems that I knew of
and I use it now on the 2008. I use the Amsoil Eao13. Eao12 is the smaller filter.

Uncertainty about pressure

Uncertainty about pressure would stop me from experimenting.
We don't know how much more flow the Xterra/Pathfinder oil pump creates, so by increasing filter size we run a chance of oil-starving VQ35.

I'd stick with OEM filter which was specifically designed for this engine.
