Replaced steelies

I was tired of the hubcap look and had a set of 18" wheels from my old 03 Murano in the garage so yea. I took it to the local tire shop and bought new tires for it and had them mounted on. The handling and feel improved dramatically.

Wanted: 2007-2009 16" Alloy Quest Rims

The dealer put on ugly aftermarket rims when I bought my quest.
I'm looking to buy some originals in good condition, have been searching online but haven't found much.
I keep stumbling across replica wheels.. not sure how good they would be.

Thanks
Ryan

Will these wheels/tires work on my van?

I have a 2007 quest se with runflat tires and I want to get rid of them. Can I put 215/55/17 wheels and tires that I found on craigslist from a 2003 Infinity G35 sedan on my van instead?

depax 2007 quest

I have the same problem as everyone else with the pax system. I want out of it. (I am a novice at this and need specifics please).

-what size wheels do I need to go to? (they are 19" now)
-I have heard 17" but will that mean I also need my speedometer to be recalibrated?
-Can I get rims from an infinity vehicle and put them on my van? (someone is telling me to do that). The source is a salvage yard nearby.
-Are wheel center caps interchangeable on these vehicles? Do you think I could remove my old rim center caps and put them on the new wheel?
-would I need new lug nuts?

What are Kevlar Metallic?

Been researching the $hit out of brake pads recently for my car and I came across this website that sells Kevlar Metallic brake pads? I’ve heard of semi-metallic and ceramic but never Kevlar Metallic, anyone have any idea what the quality of these pads are? discbrakepads.net sells them and there is a coupon I found for 10% off (brakesale-0930-2010). Thoughts? Comments? Input?!? Is this a long life material?

Question on Pax Wheels

I am not an owner of a quest but really like the Quest PAX wheels. Is there a way to take the pax ring off and use a regular tire? I'm looking to put these wheels on my Altima for the winter.

Newbie here. Split CV boot...

Took a long bumpy left at light, straightened out into a nice high-pitched grind...sorta like a rim's draggin'. Parked, turned wheel, CV boot split open. Questions are, how much(hopefully that should not matter) and the fix. I am a dumb, do-it-myself guy that happens to have Quest-oriented friends. So tell me, six-pack? A twelver?

EDIT

Sorry,

It's a '97!

replacing PAX tires on 2006 Quest

Ok, like most everyone else I'm fed up with the PAX tires. I plan on changing over to regular wheels and tires but wondered what those of you that have already done this are doing for a spare? If you have one where are you keeping it? We were told that the compartment where the spare goes is missing on PAX equiped Quests. I haven't checked yet but I'm going to as I have been lied to before by my dealer. Comments welcome.
